I was getting about 125-150 fps max everything on a 3090 FTW oced. However, I am only running 1440p but had render scaling set to 4k. Edit: I may have had the render resolution not at 4k, but 3kish. I will verify after work and get back to you.

In-game with max settings I'm getting right around 100fps at 4k with stop settings on my 3090 FTW3.

I cap at 100fps with my current setup, otherwise my card catches on fire, but usually the average is a lot lower than that. That's amazing.

i feel like this is an odd game to want to play in a higher resolution over a higher hz

I'm not part of the "Shooters should be played at lower res to get higher FPS" thought process. I want all of my games to look as good as possible at the highest FPS possible.

XC3 3080 benchmark runs net 58fps average. Thats at native 4K with every setting set to as high as it will go.

Agreed. I played most of it on a 2080 super as well at 1440p but since I have a 60Hz monitor I think most of the settings were set to ultra. Much of the time the complexity of what you are seeing doesn't really add up to how demanding it is. Don't get me wrong its a nice looking game and some areas look really great but those areas really hit performance hard.

Yeah it's like if you hold up Doom Eternal as an example of how amazing a game can run with good optimisation then Borderlands 3 is the example of what a slug a badly optimised game can be lol

On my 1080p monitor at 85Hz I get a pretty steady 85fps on GeForce 2070 Super. On my 4K TV when I tested it, it's in the low 40s all at the higher settings. I'm anticipating it'll run well on the GeForce 3080 FTW3 when I get it.
