I’m looking to remove my system fans altogether, if possible?

My system is currently externally water cooled, i.e cpu and gpu.

I would like to make some waterblocks for the motherboard so that I can remove the 3 fans on the front of the machine, I presume the power VRM will need cooling and the chipset.

I’ve done some testing and memory doesn’t seem to get thermally out of control without cooling and the M.2’s seem final also. I think the large case with zero radiators inside seems to allow natural convection of heat to loose the temp without fans. Might get away with just some stick on thermal heat sinks to allow transfer naturally.

Once the main parts are made I’ll record the mb visually with a thermal camera to see if any other parts are thermally struggling and address them as I go.

Fyi the radiator w/fans and pumps are in the next room, so just have two fittings that come into office and go into back of the machine etc.

End goal is silent running.

I don’t think they make a watercooled PSU yet, but that will be next step 😂

Is there anything I’ve overlooked?

Cheers

You would need to water cool the VRMs on the MB but you don't have to water cool the north bridge chip. The stock heat sink on it should suffice.
Someone somewhere a while back made a water cooled PSU. Can't remember the brand or the wattage, didn't stay around too long. Kind of a niche market there.
