Last night and the night before I've had two WU's crash my system with blue screen restarts.  First the crashdump failed to create, then last night it was a video driver error sending a command.  In the event viewer there are "warp" errors for nvlddmkm.  I've had this happen in the past and looked it up and saw it typically indicates a bad WU, I'm not having any obvious issues in other content so pretty sure it's not a hardware issue.  Just wondering if others are seeing some bad WU's lately?

Nope no beta flag.  No flags at all right now actually, just manually selecting Covid as the preferred type.

Could be the extra stress with the Cuda enabled work units. They have been released to stable now. Any overclocking going on?

Nothing other than the factory FTW3 OC.  So I just tried to finish whatever WU was running last night, and about 10 minutes left my screens just freaked out with complete graphical corruption.  I'm assuming it's the WU.  Had to hard restart, and just dumped the WU yet again.  Guess I'm done folding for a while.

Just verified with a high stress game (MSFS 2020 with graphics cranked) the card is still working, so I definitely didn't destroy it.  That was a bit scary.  I'm assuming that corruption is what happens when it ends up restarting itself but I've never actually been present for it.

Usually graphics corruption is a memory issue.
I'd make sure your drivers are current and try again with folding. You didn't mention which card it is.
I'd call MSFS 2020 a cpu intensive program. It's very heavy on a single thread and memory intensive in regards to streaming terrain. Very much CPU limited.

The new CUDA projects are more stressful because they're utilizing more of the core. If you want to test your GPU I recommend OCCT. It's free and has a built-in artifact scanner which is critical for proper GPU testing. https://www.ocbase.com/

Thanks I'll look for it.  I actually have it but didn't realize it had an artifact scanner.  I used to use some EVGA tool years ago that had one but it hasn't been updated so I stopped using it years ago.

If you turn on Dev Mode and turn on the FPS display it will tell you what's limiting you.  If you set up the right scenario in the sim you can get "limited by GPU".

So I ran the tests.  No issues after 45 minutes with the 3D test.  VRAM however went corrupted display after like 60 seconds in.  Not sure if it's just pushing the FTW card too hard or if I actually have an issue.  Thoughts?  Also, I'm on the driver from about 2 weeks ago, haven't updated to the latest yet.

Also, possibly a potential cause I guess, I'm running a Phanteks PCIE extender for the vertical mount.  It's their higher quality shielded one.  Could that possibly be affecting it causing the memory corruption?  I can't really test without it since  I'm water cooled.

I would imagine if it was due to the PCIe extender then you would be seeing calculation errors too. You can try underclocking your VRAM and running the test until you find settings it passes at, but unstable VRAM would certainly explain your F@H issues.
