Hi there!
I've been so happy with my lovely GeForce 1080 Ti 11 GB, but...
On exact date of 2 years after purchase the radiator of my card leaked and my system dies. Is that kind of mystique?

Not so visible:

But from back...

PS. I never had the overheat moments.

Your card doesn't have a radiator. It can't leak.

What you are seeing is silicon oil from the thermal pads. Silicon oil is non conductive and harmless. It weeps out over time via capillary action. It is common/normal.

It's not the reason your system is "killed".

Hm... Interesting... I'd expect the death of overhit, but my system never got higher than 75-80 degree... And just for very short time...

Most likely dust buildup on top of the silicone oil is causing a short. Clean your system very well and remove all dust. You can use isopropyl alcohol to remove the silicon oil, but wait for it to dry before powering anything on.

Running 75c to 80c over time could cause wear and tear, but you’ve only shown one thing here and that is the GPU. While the GPU could be having an issue, what you see here is not a leak like you are thinking.

Okay, but the point we are making is that the oil from the pads is not the issue. It would be really helpful if you described exactly what your system is doing. It may be something other than the GPU, but we have no idea.

    Hi,

what component(s) exactely "died"? Only the GPU or does it include your motherboard?

Is it possible, as this oil is not conductive and the vertical mounting, that the PCI-Express connector does not make proper contact now?

Just a thought: if the rest or your system is still ok, can you try your system out of the case, without the riser and after a cleanup of PCIe connector with isopropyl alcohol as suggested above?

It's possible that the vapor chamber ruptured and leaked.
