With the upcoming thousand card stock it would be very helpful to us humans if EVGA could implement a cart queue system. That way for those of us that are able to get it in our carts, it wont be taken away because a bot purchased 20 cards in the time it takes us to press a button..

Movie theaters and Ticketmaster holds and locks the tickets for like 3 minutes so it gives people a chance to purchase and not have their seats taken away.

Can EVGA do something like this?

You would think all sites would be like this.  I literally thought as long as items are in your cart you are good for a few minutes.  Not the case whatsoever and it's extremely stupid.

They really should do it this way. It's so ridiculous that you can lose it once in your cart. If Nvidia won't allow pre-orders they should at least allow this. Although I'm sure this would take some work on EVGA to rework the website but would take away a lot of frustration.

You'd literally need the stock to be held for at LEAST an hour with how bad the website crashes and slows down. 3 minutes wouldn't do anything.

But yes, its an EXTREMELY simple thing they could implement that would have a whole lot less people angry when they spend 15 minutes trying to check a card out only for it to be gone by the time the website takes 10 minutes to load 1 page.

It would probably cut WAY down on the amount of cards bots get too. At least your card is YOURS until you checkout. Meanwhile bots are buying cards while you're dealing with errors and trying to get pages to load.

Queue system shouldn't be just cart purchases.  Cards should be first come first served.  let everyone buy the card they want then just send them out as they are made.  Every customer wins all bots and resellers lose.  This issue they have is known.  The fix is known.  Why it's not implemented is the unknown.  Apple had this issue and made the blueprint to fix it.  It could be applied anytime now

I bought a digital camera from Best Buy the other day when the Xbox series x pre orders were going on, and they seemed to have a pretty functional queue system going on.  I wasn't even trying to purchase an Xbox and I still had to go through the queueing process.

Yah if they could do some sort of line up so only so many people get in at once.

Even Ticketmaster holds your tickets for a certain time once they're in your cart.

Yeah like SDCC hotels online. The day they go up, there's a queue. And even if it grabs people who were there before 6am at random, it might be better than bots getting it all.

I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes trying to checkout for a 3090 ftw3 ultra at release. The site would fail throughout the process over and over.. I actually made it to the very last step a hand full of times, just had to click submit order to be done and it would crash after clicking... just to start all over again.. and eventually (hour and 45 minutes of this later) they went out of stock and never was able to purchase it.. was frustrating af.

It was the only way my wife and her friends could get good seats to Beyonce lol.

It was a massive rush on ticket Master probably worst than this release but everyone was in queue. They had bot protection as well.

Having an orderly system would just make too much sense, wouldn't it?
