The card has served me well and still performs amazingly thermally maxing at around 35°C above ambient under full load. Surprised I haven't needed to repaste it. Sadly it struggles in MSFS, which is first game that has really pushed it past its limits of playing games smoothly. I've been waiting until until the 3000 series to upgrade. However, I plan on keeping it in my last gen system where it will get some occasional light use. O7

That was a great video card and it's good to see it will still have some usage.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Definitely, never expected for it to last 5 years! Been very happy with it and hoping to pick up a 3090 K|ngp|n Hydro Copper for my current system :)

Man.. the 980TI must be loads better than my 970. I can’t even run Black Ops 1 on max SMH.

Which 3000 series card will you be running? I plan on upgrading to the 3090 in late December.

It's held up until this year quite well. MSFS is the first game that's completely overwhelmed it. Planning on a 3090 KPE HC if I can get my hands on one. Hopefully within the first two weeks of November for Cyberpunk.

I've just recently been realizing cards with a water block don't have nearly as much demand in the resale market

Has me reconsidering a loop given that I like to upgrade somewhat regularly.

wow, 35C at full load? I get 81C at full load on a hyper 212. I guess that's what happens when you have barely dusted your card and never redone the paste, and it's on a basic air cooler.

What if I said that one's entire life had been decided by fate? That every single one of your actions, from the minute to the monumental, stemmed not from your own choices, but had already been decided upon? That life being a journey of limitless possibilities was but an illusion, and no matter how fiercely man struggled, he stood at the mercy of a long-established path? The wealthy shall know their riches. The needy shall starve on the streets. The wicked shall be wicked, the righteous just. The beautiful, the hideous, the strong, the frail, the fortunate, the miserable... and finally, the victors and the defeated. What if I said that all such things had been carved into stone eons ago, allowing for no divergence? If so, sinners have nothing to answer for, nor do saints have any true virtue to their name. What if I said that not a single action is carried out of one's own volition, but had been decided long ago? That we are merely adrift in the current of time? Tell me, would yo

I'm right there will you.  Going from a EVGA 980Ti to a 3080 (hopefully!)

same haha going from a 980ti to a 3080 hopefully soon. I’ve been using my 980ti to game in 4K for about a year now, it manages to play my fav game destiny 2 flawlessly at 60 FPS in 4K but any newer and modern AAA game will struggle.

I could barely run at 1440p on mine. I'm excited to play Monster Hunter at max settings

Still rocking my 970 ftw.. Definitely overdue for an upgrade, but it has been a fantastic card the last six years.
