So I bought a new PSU from evga and it came with 3 PCIe cables. Thing is, each cable has a single 8 pin one side and on the other it has a split dual 8 pin on the other. My question is, once I finally am able to purchase a new 3080 that requires 3 8 pin inputs, should I and can I just use 3 seperate 8 pin cables and only use one of the split dual 8 pins?

You'll need to use 3 individual 6+2's. (solid 8-pins are fine too) (safest option)

You could however use 1x 6+2 + 1 cable that splits into dual 6+2's. (less safe option)

Thank you. Is it safe to just have those 3 extra 8 pins just dangling there?
