Newest driver update makes my 2080 ti hot

Before this update my GPU ran games at 4k ultra ,never going above 71 Celsius....and I've owned it for almost 2 years without issue....now its hitting 85 Celsius for temps while gaming........****? Anyone else run into this? 2080 ti xc ultra.

    Which driver? I installed the latest NVDIA driver on Thursday and now my GPU safety shuts off around 77-78 degrees. Hasn't stopped even after rollback.

    So it is not gpu driver then, but maybe dry thermal paste or something like that.

    I don't see any issues with latest driver on my 2080ti ftw3, same temperatures, same power consumption.

    The one released on September 17 I believe......it's the newest game ready driver.

    Started happening right after updating to the newest driver so, I'm pretty sure it's related to it......I never have a gpu long enough to have to change thermal paste as I always upgrade to the newest generation when it comes out.....like I said, I never had a problem before this driver update. Also, it's obvious there are issues with the 30 series and nvidia is probably scrambling to sort it out,,,,,this driver update causing my gpu to get so hot is probably a side effect which seems to affect everyone differently; accept you, obviously.
