Just dont buy on ebay. It's crazy the prices that are posted. For the price on Ebay, you could buy two 3090's for MSRP.

Hopefully this ends someday soon and real people can start getting them.
I think it will end soon since the resellers are betting that they can get a profit off of the rush in interest. If they don't sell the cards before the stock meets the demand then they lose money having to sell the card second hand often without a warranty or a more limited one.

It's easy.
Don't pay a penny over MSRP. Okay, maybe on real sites that offer backorder, but definitely don't buy off of eBay from Botters. They should go back to the footwear world where they belong. Personally, I'd like to see them get stuck with a bunch of $1500 cards when the next version comes out.

I spoke to an EVGA Sales guy yesterday. Sounds like they post them as soon as they get them. Generally in lots of a hundred or so.

It really is, imo. I think I remember seeing somewhere that there were over 50k requests to be notified of stock at the EVGA store. Jacob did mention that supply was ramping up big timed and seemed to suggest october would be when most people should be able to easily grab a card.

I was only able to get mine by battling the site trying to take my info while it kept crashing. No Bot used just good ol’ refresh and back button like mad.
Best of luck to those still battling the maximum limits of the internet. Basically a simulated ddos everytime a card goes in stock.

Not this fellow elite member. Tried and failed to buy one. So trying the backorder route now, if it takes 3 months fine at least I am in line. If I get an FTW 3080 before. I will cancel it.

I was talking to someone on Ebay who confirmed they received the 3090 via the EVGA elite membership program from the other day. He listed as buy it now for 3400 or best offer. I was curious, so i asked him some more questions and he said he set it to auto decline any offer under 3,000 and that he already recieved offer for 3100.
20min later it sold at the $3,400 ask. wow... guess he put it too cheap

Only a certain amount were for elite members and it was eventually opened up to everyone, so that's not exactly true.

Hoping that EVGA does this again with 3080/3090 FTW3 Ultra cards. Looking to get one, and refuse to buy from scalpers or outside retail. I think EVGA has handled this situation the best though. At least they are doing something about the rampant scalpers, but they will still never be able to stop everyone.
