So I was a little hurt and shocked that the $899.99 and $999.99 prices I paid for my 3070’s to step up to the 3090 was not counted. Really shocked that only $679.99 applied. Last I checked GigaParts was a retail store, even had a policy where you had to spend an additional 10%. I thought oh well, at least it will count when I step up to a 3090, oh well I guess not.

This made me worry about my own step-up cost as well.
Googling only led me to various answers on this forum, saying that the actual Price Paid is considered, not MSRP.
But looking at the US step-up page, I can find this disclaimer:
"EVGA reserves the right to adjust the purchase price of a Step-Up eligible product (i.e. the product used to Step-Up from) to match the actual price paid after discounts or rebates, as outlined in these terms. EVGA reserves the right to reduce the purchase price of a Step-Up eligible product, less any discounts,
to match the current MSRP of the Step-Up eligible product."
However, this isn't present on the EU step-up page, they only reserve the right to adjust the price to account for any
Discounts or Rebates.
At this point I'm praying that paying 1800€ for a 3080 from an
official EVGA distributor in Germany, wasn't a huge mistake.
