You just have to make a 100 post or register 2 products that EVGA as designated as acceptable for Elite status. That has nothing to do with being LOYAL, they even have worthless threads so you can get 100 post in like one day.

Guess I need to start posting since I'm not an Elite member either.
Joined in 2009 and less than 50 posts. I bought the 980Ti and generally skip 2 generations.
Guess that came back to bite me this time.  Doesn't qualify to register for Elite member status.

I realize I'm a bit biased, but I am very on board with this idea. To be clear, I don't think the entire SKU should be available to only ELITE members. However, a portion of each shipment reserved for known-loyal customers could be a great way to get cards into the hands of people and reduce the likelihood of scalpers and bots. This would seem like a sensible solution until stock stabilizes.

Elite members make up a tiny fraction of other customers trying to get cards. Kind of BS to only let those few people get them. Not to mention, there are tons of loyal EVGA customers who arent "elite" members. I've been buying EVGA products for years, simply never made an account here or registered products.

I even have a 10 year old video card in my warranty history with evga but i'm not elite :(

It's only for their listed model in option 1.

I have products dating back to 2008 in my registration list. The only thing that qualifies me is my 1080 TI kingpin which I purchased brand new from launch. You can't honestly expect everything you purchase to qualify you as an elite member. That would just be unrealistic.

I never said any evga product, if it's within their 3 options then you qualify for elite status. Option one, anywhere from a 3090 - gtx 1050 qualifies you to be elite, original owner, no time limit if you haven't registered it, you can do so now if you have any of those mentioned.

Option two, at least 2 current model EVGA items purchased within 12 months

Option three, 100 post on the forums.

I didn't qualify for elite status at 9am yesterday morning. No current registered card (sold my rtx before 3080 was announced) i have a 2 year old 1000w psu not registered (wouldn't count anyways).. i have older cards also not registered. Went out to best buy and bought a 2060... Registered it before 12pm est and now I'm elite.

I think a limited number should be counted upon EVGA filtering how many actual elite members are there currently. Allocate an appropriate number of assorted numbers to sell elite only. What doesn't sell, say 1 to 2 month reallocate to regular sales

Or just set aside one drop a week or something like that with the whole allotment for elite members.
Though as time goes on more and more people will get in.

That's the point and will drive up evga sales with the desire of niche product available sooner for loyal members/customers also bringing in more "quality" flow through the forums.

you misunderstood me. It is registered, i was commenting on the fact that people are complaining that they have a handful of registered hardware and dont have elite status.

It would be a neat workaround to actual protections but I wouldn't mind it if I were an elite member

What about long term evga users that are not elite members?  I have been using EVGA only since the 460...why should some forum posts jump you ahead of everyone else making it even more likely that the rest of the people cant get one?

I agree that this would insure it gets in the hands of actual customers. Not a bad idea actually! (I am not an elite member)

As somebody who's not quiet elite but working my way there, i do think it'd be nice if at least a portion of these cards were always in reserve for elite members, at least until inventory can keep up with demand.  gives us a chance to beat the bots...

It’s a good idea. I have been a loyal customer of EVGA since 2011.
I have bought the following EVGA cards:
1 GeForce gtx 580
2 GeForce gtx 680s for SLI
2 GeForce gtx 780s for SLI
2 GeForce 1080s for SLI
1 GeForce 2080 ti XC ultra
And lastly a GeForce 3080 FTW3 (still waiting for it to arrive tho)
