I don't understand how anyone was able to get a card. I got to the Place order button about 25 times and it did absolutely nothing. So much for being an Elite member. I didn't even try nvidia as I thought we actually had a chance here. Should've just went with the FE with how this went.

They are already up on eBay for thousands of dollars and people are buying them. We don't stand a chance against the onslaught of bots and scalpers that are coming out of the woodwork to get them to flip.

It should get better as the most hardcore get their cards and stop being competition, stock increases, and demand is split between all 3 versions of the card. On top of that, early leaks really are pointing to the Navi card actually being right at 3080 performance, which will pull a lot of frustrated people away from pecking at Nvidia stock and further hurt the effectiveness of scalpers.
I'm hoping AMD's card really does do this even though I'm on a true gsync monitor and still play older classics (some of which AMD cards still bug out on...), because that means this gen is the catch-up gen and maybe next gen will be the fighting gen.
Anything to keep Nvidia from deciding to charge 1200 for 15%~ on the xx80 level again.
Of course, they still have a lot of catching up to do with raytracing and, far more importantly, DLSS, but they're supposedly working on. Part of this mess with Nvidia is because they're the only realistic place to turn to for top level gaming cards.

The prices on Ebay are like $3,000 USD for 1 3090 at that point you kinda stop and remind yourself that you could buy two 3090's and SLI / NVLink them. So it doesn't make any sense. People should just not buy any of those cards on Ebay, period.
