What if.... it takes more than 90 days?

You just have to initiate the step-up inside the 90 days. Then you wait however long it takes to ship.

I'd debated doing a step-up as well, but I was hoping I might get a card this year. I was hoping to get Watchdogs and the 1 year GFN subscription with a legit purchase.. If I can't get buy the time Big Navi launches, I'm gonna grab a 2080 and step up to the 3090 FTW3 Ultra if possible. If not, waiting game extends I guess.



Alot of people eyeing the BIG NAVI launch now..

Sorry, but every single AMD card I have had, had very bad issues. And sound like a jet.

I feel they will never take pre-orders again, because they can leverage the demand into things like... post on our forums! Buy from us so you can be first to buy the next thing! Trade in and you get first dibs! 
 
Twisting a simple thing, buying a card, into brand loyalty and trade ins and stuff.

For real, what if it goes over the 90 days? They say there are NO EXCEPTIONS over the 90 days, and I haven't seen any information about 'sending in a request entitles you to a card no matter how long it takes'

I got into the step up with a 1060 i had bought, and it would only let me go up to a 2080 black edition when i wanted the 2080 Ti. So needless to say i waited 5 months for my queue position to come around for me to not need or want the step anymore. Ended up getting an Asus Ti shortly after its launch. And you would have to pay Tax and shipping on both cards doing the step up.

If you submit before the 90 days you are guaranteed a card regardless of how long it takes.

In the fine print it states they can cancel anytime. I’m not comfortable buying an overpriced 2080 to lock in an unknown time frame 3080 with the possibility of it going south.

Although, this might drag out your 3080 even more than if you just waited a few weeks for it.
