Yeah, they don't want to notify until they can handle the current surprise DDOS level traffic

Notifications should be sent out with some times to prepare ppl, sadly it also allows ppl to prepare their bots

I know this has been discussed to death, but I've actually had a few auto-notifications go through in the past few days. They still get snatched up before the notification can serve it's purpose, but it'll start being more useful once supply lasts more than a couple minutes.

I've had amazon notifications and newegg ones come but by the time I get there they are gone.

The cards are not in stock long enough to send them out. you would just get alot of angry people asking where the cards are.

I had a Best Buy notification work but I was about 30 seconds too slow and it was gone between clicking add to cart and go to cart. The NewEgg and Nvidia notifications don't seem to go out. I appreciate Jacob tweeting at the moment the drops occur. When he tweets and they email we're competing with more people. But, if there's no email or tweets only the bots making 24/7 API calls will even know about the drop and they get the entire drop.

I noticed it, not with a GPU but with the mouse, it was out of stock, hit notify and I never got a notification it was back in stock again. Still got it but yeah.
