How about they dont auto remove the card from my cart when the stupid site gets a error or crashes i was able to get a card in cart 3 times only to have the site error out in shipping or the site crash they removed the card from my cart each time. You should get a hour to pay if you have one in cart especially with the site crapping itself.

Scalpers are avoiding all the counter scalper strategies being implemented by EVGA and anti-scalper bots by posting as a "buy it now," see how this auction like many others already has 15 EVGA cards sold: https://www.ebay.com/itm/...384:g:Kb0AAOSwLzFfc4vc Besides doing what is already being done by shipping one unit per address and such, perhaps NVIDIA and all its partners such as EVGA need to come into an agreement for future launches such as the 3070 and especially the 4xxx series when it launches in a couple of years by building up inventory to 10,000 or perhaps 50,000 units per brand and then launch the card. Scalpers will buy up what they can, a large number of true customers will get their cards, especially the ones that are willing to pay well above MSRP, and then only the remaining customers would probably be those that were not in a rush to buy and definitely not willing to pay above MSRP. Then scalpers get stuck with inventory they cant price gouge on. Also, I dont know if there is some policy EVGA has against this, but the forum community should be given priority reservation of EVGA products of 1 per person given the circumstances IMO.

We aren't getting the full link. That's insane one person was able to sell 15 GPUs. He probably programs the bots himself from different etailers while possibly going local or who knows. Might have a team with him. The only way this will stop is if you make this a crime and people stop purchasing from them but we all know that will never happen. lol P.S. - It's possible, the user 'sold' but never really sold the GPU from counter bots. It could have been 15 attempts. Just a thought.

The best way to combat scalpers and Bots is not to buy from them let them live with there purchases. When they are unable to sell them it will stop them from buying the GPU's.

There is no way to stop them. We are minority. As long as there is demand for a product there will be scalpers. Only companies making the product can stop them.

A friend of mine has a theory of employees taking /purchasing store stocks for their own and resell it for profit. It's absurd but it's not the worst theory of there.

^^ pretty old practice. I used to do it myself when i worked at KB toys in 2001/2002. reselling wasn’t too big at that time. Games like GTA and some rare collectible toys Could be sold way above msrp.

Why not require something that makes it hard to buy without being legit? Seems like that may be the best option. Sure it would be harder for legit buyers, but worth it for us.

Probably . There's emulators that can be downloaded. How about adding a phone number authentication. Sure they can get google voice but i'm pretty that'll be pretty limited right ?
