Since I hadn't seen it anywhere except evga's site does anyone know if the hydro copper version will be released at the same time at launch and the possible cost of it?

Thanks!

Does anyone know what cards the HydroCopper standalone blocks will be compatible with? Is it only the FTW3 models or also the XC3? I'm probably going to buy one of those and then just wait for the blocks to launch separately later.

I read somewhere that there were pre build Hydro Copper XC and FTW versions. So that would suggest that there are more than one type of Hydro Copper block. I expect an HC for the Kingpin version too. You would need someone from EVGA to confirm this however.

I'd be interested in this information if an EVGA member could answer our question. I'll be water cooling and if the Hydro card isn't available on the 17th, which if your launch 3080 cards will be supported by the future standalone hydro water block. Presuming there will be a standalone hydro block for the 3000 series :-)

Also I was just curious, which card are they basing the Hydro Copper card on?  XC3 or FTW3??  You'd kinda hoped it would be the FTW3 to be honest, but......

So far there hasn't been confirmation of a standalone block existing with the 3000 series. If they exist, they'd have to come in two varieties: one for the XC3 PCB and one for the FTW3 PCB.

As to price my guess is between $80 and $100 over the non HC version of the same card.  I have a 2080 Super FTW 3 HC that was $80 more than the non HC version.  I bought it when they did the $80 instant rebate.  So like for the FTW3 Ultra 3080 they have a list price showing of $809.99.

889 just sounds weird so I would guess either 899.99 or 909.99.  Then increase in price for the XC3 HC version compared to non HC.

This is obviously just my guess....

I don't think they are doing a 3080 Kingpin. I saw somewhere it will be 3090 only, and just like the 2080Ti it will be a Hybrid AIO not a custom block HC. If they are going with what they show on the info page, I'll probably go with EKWB once they get blocks built for EVGA 3080/3090's. Not liking all the pink and purple graphic on the HC, unless that's ARGB LED they show on the website. If they do go with the design on the website, I'm still not sure I won't buy an air cooled card and throw a EK block on it. I don't like the black mesh silkscreen effect they show either. I like to see the channels on my block cooler to see if there's and debris or buildup in the fins. I can see everything just fine on my 1080Ti FTW3 with EK block and my 2080Ti FTW3 HC...
