Hi, all!

I bought an X299 dark motherboard and a cpu i9 10900x. After connecting, there is no image from the video card. Post error code is dF with 3 beeps.

From this thread "X299 Dark will not post - error code dF" I realized that the problem is in the old BIOS. And that you need to write a letter in support with a request to send a chip with a new BIOS.

I have already written two letters in support with a request to send a chip with a new bios.
But I never received an answer from them.

Please, help.

My English is poor

Maybe there is a way to update BIOS without video from videocard?
And without buying a simpler CPU ?

I sent support an e-mail letting them know you need a replacement bios chip.

Hey there! I see you are located in Russia and reached out to our EU team. We need you to register your product to your EVGA account. The serial should be on the box or the back of the board. We need that done first and we can set up a request to get you one.

Today I tried i7 7740X with my x299 Dark. But it is not work too... No video from videocard, no error codes, no error signals. But caterr led is red light.
I tried all variants with memory slots.

May be my memory is not supported with the mobo - 32Gb DDR4 3600MHz Crucial Ballistix Elite (BLE4K8G4D36BEEAK) (4x8Gb KIT)?

For troubleshooting try 1 stick of the memory.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

BLE4K8G4D36BEEAK is 100% compatible with an EVGA X299 Dark.

You should list all of your system hardware along with exactly what OS you're running/wanting to run.

Disconnect everything from your PC, including the SSD..Leave only the CPU/Cooler/1 stick of RAM and see what happens..If no joy, take the motherboard out of the case and put it on a table and try it..Temporarily (very temporarily) remove the CPU cooler and try it.

The manual doesn't say what slot just 1 stick of RAM goes into for Cascade Lake-X CPUs..It only says Slot 2 for Skylake-X and Slot 4 for Kaby Lake-X..Try both.

Did you clear CMOS before swaping the cpu for the kabylake? If you didnt probably you burned it coming straight from sky-x... Its recommended to clear cmoswhen switching this 2 cpus... My friend burned his doing so... And read other users doing this as well..

yes its a possibility. my friend got a mobo used  and didnt clear cmos so when he used kabylake-x cpu on it it got burned. he has to ship me the board to verify the board was fine... as the cpu wasnt posting and the board wasnt displaying nothing with it on it... in the end the board was fine and the cpu got fried

The board has three separate bios environments which can be selected by slide switch; have you tested posting on either of the other two bios environments?  I ask because I believe only one bios environment has been updated following intel's release of the 10900 series chips, while the other two bios environments remain on an older version of bios.
