3080 XC3 vs FTW3 PCB

Will the 3080 XC3 and FTW3 be on the same PCB / reference PCB? Or will FTW3 be different like last time? Asking for water cooling purposes

    ftw is definitely using custom pcb.
     
    i just spot that the evga 3090 hybrid xc pcb is taller than the pcb of air xc version, on evga site.
    old hyrbid models used to be using reference pcb but not the custom pcb.

    There is a pending announcement from EKWB which will provide a host of information about blocks for covered PCBs. I am personally waiting for this announcement to get more clarification.

    Yeah historically FTW3 are not reference PCB.
    Now that doesn't have to mean that EK waterblock for instance doesn't fit on it. We'll have to wait for compatibility lists on the waterblocks coming out.

    They said FTW3 and KP are custom in their sticky.

    It's not likely that it will just work on the XC, FTW, KP, ... but... who knows.

    Usually custom is because of the power delivery.  They need to keep those VRMS cool.  There is a 99% chance that something aimed at the regular boards won't work.

    Thanks for all the responses! Right now I have a hardline loop with no GPU and a flexible tube jumping over the GPU’s spot in the loop. So I can fit an air cooled FTW3 in there temporarily until either the HC comes out or EK makes a block that’ll fit it. Thinking that’s my plan
