I upgraded the radiator fan on 2080ti HYBRID from Stock to a Noctua One and it's been spinning up and down whenever it should run above 40% Has anyone seen anything like this? Reducing Hardware Pooling from 1000ms to 300ms makes it stabilize after about a minute or so to 2000rpm (Fan is max 3000rpm) But it's still annoying during gaming whenever GPU load changes.

I guess you used stock fan on auto (vbios) and after switching it to noctua 3000rpm - tried custom fancurve in px1.
But it is bugged and in case of hybrid every fan speed update interval fan actually stops and runs.

I always used the Custom curve because the Card is OC'd so I needed a little more airflow to keep it at acceptable Temperatures. This seems to happen even when the Fan is on Auto, although it jumps between 800-1300RPM Then

Well, maybe it is current limitation.
What current needs 3000 rpm version?

Did you tried that with motherboard? Maybe fan is just broken?

I believe it's 12V 0.30amp while stock one was about 0.20amp So definitely more, Think 0.20Amp is peak and that's why it can't go higher, wavering all about? If I can't figure that's what I'll do, Do push-pull config with the Noctua plugged into motherboard for steady quiet airflow
Edit: I can control the Fan from BIOS (Asus Fan Xpert) while plugged in into motherboard and it seems to be acting normally, can't see exact RPM but it seems to run faster at full speed and doesn't wobble. Is it possible to buy splitter of some sort that will power board from PSU but have control coming from the GPU?

I dont think so, only make it from pair of fan wire extenders.
Plus issue could be caused by pwm signal from gpu.

Did you tried run single fan? Current is 0.3a, yeah, but 2000rpm noctua require only 0.1a.
I dont know current limit for gpu headers, on motherboards its 1a, so enough for 3 fans like that. But 2x2000rpm worked fine with hybrid.

If it's an issue with PWM How would one fix that, the stock fan is pretty much the same and runs fine. I'm out of ideas

Well, you can try to test if it is power issue or not, you need 2 fan extenders to make a custom "reverse" Y-splitter to get power (black and red) from motherboard and pwm signal from gpu.

You can make it either by cutting extenders in half or removing 2 pins from connector and inserting them in empty connector from 2nd extender.

If it is not power and pwm issue, well, I think the only way to fix it is to use motherboard instead of gpu header.

Here are the fan specs of a 2080 Ti Hybrid rad fan..Max fan speed is ~2000rpm.

The card seems to be 'hunting' for 2000rpm when you're using a 3000rpm Noctua fan.

Try capping the fan speed in Precision X1 to a percentage that equals ~2000rpm and maybe also raising the Min fan speed so that the difference/distance between Min/Max fan speed is smaller.

Most Noctua fans come with Low-Noise Adaptors to limit fan RPM, you might try one of those.

SpeedFan will allow you to run the rad fan (based on GPU temp) from a mobo header if your hardware is supported.

SpeedFan is outdated though and banned by multiple anticheat software due to exploits in dlls.

SpeedFan 4.52 is from 2015..Like I said, it will allow you to run the rad fan (based on GPU temp) from a mobo header if your hardware is supported.

Yes, I mean problem is not only in hardware support - but also in anticheats. If you will play, say, R6S or something with battleeye or other anticheat system - speedfan will be frozen as service and will not control your fans even if hardware is supported.
