I'm planning on getting a 3090.  Preference would be to go with EVGA due to the amazing customer support.

However, with the 3090 already costing so much, I'm wondering if any of the EVGA models will be at 3090 FE MSRP pricing.

Based on experience with previous generations between EVGA pricing and FE pricing, do any EVGA cards match the FE pricing?  Or are they all more expensive?

EVGA and other AIB prices have historically matched the FE pricing but not the MSRP. For example the 2080 ti's MSRP was $999 but EVGA cards were generally priced around the FE price of $1200. This time around, the FE pricing is identical to the MSRP, meaning that most cards will be priced around the FE price of $1500. However, some higher-end models like the Kingpin, Hydro Copper, and FTW3 Ultra may be priced significantly higher.

EVGA was one of the very few companies with a $999 2080ti, so I disagree with your breakdown above. NVidia sets the MSRP for their own cards, so AIB’s are not bound to that.

As far as pricing, speculation isn’t going to help. Only EVGA knows and the prices haven’t been announced. If any card is going to be MSRP, it will be the XC, the others will be a much more understandable premium due to the added technology.

That's why I said generally as the $999 2080 ti was the exception rather than the norm.

Welp if EVGA will sell "normal" model and not that "Black/low quality pcb" model for 1500 I'd get it from EVGA + warranty extension like I always do. But if they gonna charge 1600+ or so then I'll just go with nvidia.

The 2080 and 2080 Ti had A-chip and non-A chip cards with different bins.  The $999 2080 Ti Black was non-A chip, while the $1199 XC and Founders were A-chip.  No word on binning this time.  Given the complexity of the Nvidia cooler, it is possible EVGA might offer a couple models with a basic cooler for less.

That's asking for a lot, how do you expect EVGA to be able to afford to honor the RMA's of the extended warranty with no profit margin?

Hey if you want a 1 year warranty that is voided if you put the card under a water block and want to have fun with Digital River go with Nvidia.

Me, I will gladly pay another $100 for the transferable 3 year warranty, the ability to put the card under a water block, and the iCX sensors.

If you can afford $1500 for a GPU you can afford $1600-1700 for a much better purchasing and value decision.

Not sure if we miss understood each other... I'm happy to drop 1500 on gpu and then XX£ on warranty extension.

What I won't go for is 1600 for base model A-pcb. Its cool if evga gonna sell B-pcb for 1400 or so. But I don't want to pay 1500 for B. Hence will go with nvidia then.
