Yeah lucky me...I was about to return my card to Newegg and my friend told me about the step-up program. I could return my card to Newegg and stick with my 1060 but I'm afraid that the 3000 series card will be sold out within minutes. Causing me to lose my 2070 super and have to wait longer until the new cards come back in stock. Who knows when that will be. Plus I didn't want to play Cyberpunk with 1060 on launch. Has anyone done the step-up program?  What was it like?  Hopefully, the 3000s cards will be listed within the month.

you're fine, once they update the list of cards you can upgrade to, you pick one, and sit in a queue until it is available, as long as you're in the queue before your 90 day period is up. Make sure you already registered your card and upload your receipt.

I have used the step-up program several times, and always happy. I say enjoy your 2070 S now, and when they list the new cards join the queue.  It is hard to determine what the top card will be offered. It used to be the FTW, and other non-reference cards weren't offered. Like bradsteele88 said as long as you get in the queue, before 90 days it doesn't matter how long it takes. Sometimes it also takes a LONG time.
What could be better than using your card, and getting the full value back towards your new purchase?  Also if you view the step-up list, it will vary between EU and US what cards are offered. <<<it doesn't matter, I just find it curious.

I’m in the same boat! Got a 2070 super on Sunday. Planning on enjoying it and then stepping up once available.

I just got the 2060 ko ultra 1 weeks ago, alredy registered my product and uploaded my receipt. Do you think I'll make it on time to get in step up queue for the 3070? also, how much do you think the difference will be between evga and nvidia FE? I've read around $150/$250 difference which seems like a lot for me

    Thank you for your help

If you want to get a 30xx card anywhere close to launch return the GPU to NewEgg and be prepared to log on early and mash f5 with your credit card ready on launch day.

I did step-up for the 20 series which came out 1mo after I got my 1080. It was around 2.5 months from me filing step up to finally getting it approved and shipping would've been another 5 days. Step up cards are a lower priority for EVGA than new sales, they set some step up units aside, but not many. You wind up waiting for step up stock to come back in and then waiting in the step up line for your chance to get one. You are also limited to the step up eligible cards which are usually the lowest trim model available.

I purchased a eVGA 2070 Super because of the traditional size 10.62 inches in length . eVGA has always had exceptional 'two fan' size cards to complement their top line cards .

Initially it looks like all the announced eVGA 3080 are over 11 inches , will there be a 3070 that is close to the previous 10.62 inch card length ?

Wow, I just learned about this. Good thing as my 2070 Super is 14 days old and I just got it registered and uploaded the receipt. Hopefully they release a 3070 Step up before December and I will jump in the queue. I just built a new Ryzen 9 3900 and decided my older GTX 970 was old int eh tooth even though I don't game that much, but when I do it is 1440P and I want all the eye candy turned on. But why spend $500 for a 270 Super when I can spend a little more ont he step up and get a decent future proof 3070.

Have they had 'reference' cards available for step up or is it the standard 'black' 'ko' evga full retail aib cards ?
