I have to admit I was a bit shocked when my 1000 watt EVGA needed an adapter to run the card. Without it just gave me a black screen even though each led light was lit on all power rails. Including it on the price point my 3090 ftw3 ultra would have been nice. I emptied the box like really?
Umm... not sure what you are referring to.. the FTW3 does NOT require this adapter. Please explain what you are talking about?

This cable is too expensive. Its almost 1/4 the price of the power supply that I purchased.

You can fit a 3090 in a 011 D no problem.

For the price I would off it in the market. I think its a high price considering it should come with the PSU.

I agree that the use of proprietary plugs is not going to be a win for NVIDIA. So far it hasn't been a win for the games that have came out that use proprietary technology so I don't see the hardware doing much better. On the other hand so far all NVIDIA graphics cards this generation have used the 12 pin cable including the 3060Ti which really does not need it at all.

It's not a typical molex 12-pin style connector. Just look at the photos of the FE 12 pin and you'll see it's custom. Even if you could buy the connector, you still have to make the rest of the cable and make sure the pin out is correct for your respective PSU.

I just purchased these cable for my RTX3090 FE, expensive with shipping cost. They are excellent cables though and was happy to remove that Baby ruth candy bar in a pool that the splitter that's ships with the FE was.
Very flexible cable, good length and easy to work with, would have been a nice to have different color toptions for case mods.

Is it safe and/or is there any benefit to using this for a 3070 FE, which still has the 12 pin connector but only requires an 8 pin source?
Would it result in a more reliable power draw? Or would it fry the card?

At least the FE comes with the adapter cable and really this cable I don't think is becoming the standard NVIDIA hoped for as only the FE seems to be using it and third parties are still just going standard PSU GPU connectors.

I would like to get this cable to clean up my set up--however, I have the 3070 FE, which only demands a single 8-pin cable. Should I plug both 8-pin connectors into the EVGA PSU or do I just connect one of them?

Hello, Would this cable support the 220-PS-1000-V1 power supply? I see 220-PS-1000-V2 is listed in the "Compatibility" list, but not 220-PS-1000-V1. It looks like it should be fine, since it appears to be the same kind of modular cabling system, just a revision for the EU/UK. Thanks.
