Sony surprised many when they announced plans to bring Horizon Zero Dawn to PC earlier this year as it was a major first-party exclusive released for the PlayStation 4. While Microsoft has consistently been bringing first-party titles to PC, Sony had been keeping their major titles PlayStation exclusives. In Sony's latest financial report they confirm their intentions to bring further exclusives to PC to improve profitability. What games Sony plan to bring to PC is currently unknown but may well be older PlayStation 4 titles which have dwindling console sales.

It makes sense to support more platforms because if successful that means more money.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Hopefully this means we will see Spider-Man, Uncharted, God of War and Last of Us make a port to PC.

I really more surprised it took this long for it to happen then that it's happening. Game development for titles has really made it hard to do exclusives and make a profit. Mostly exclusives now days are about marketing the console that Sony also loses money on rather then having a title that makes money for Sony.

Seems to me that it reaffirms that exclusives are nonsense in the long run. Potential income on the PC will override their console greed after a title has run its course on the console ecosystem.

Exactly.  Who doesn't want an extra stream of revenue?

This makes me happy. Playstation has some good titles that I would love to play on my PC I just spent all this money on. Like some have said though, they need to make sure these ports actually work well.

The next God of War is the only reason I am considering buying a PS5. If I can play it on PC a year later I will just wait.

Bloodborne! And all the rest. I'd love to never buy a console again and have everything on PC. Been saying this for 20 years.

As I sit here and all these posts about Sony & Microsoft bringing this or that to PC... It reminds me of the days when I would defend that Consoles would never be able to kill off PC's. I remember some folks being pretty absolute about it killing the PC's.

Interesting to not see those comments being revived. I think there is a place for both and the days of Console vs. PC is what is dying. Both have a place in more homes than not...

Frankly I am looking forward to the advancements in the games and new titles.

I would totally replay Uncharted series if it comes out on PC and gets the same treatment as the Halo MCC is getting for PC.. That'd be awesome!

It makes sense to do it. Its an untapped market opportunity. Plenty of PC only gamers out there which they can do cheap ports for

Knowing Sony, they'll wait years before they bring the good first party titles over to the PC unlike MS who will be simultaneously releasing them for PC and XBOX. I doubt we'll see games like Ratchet & Clank on the PC at all.

At this point, I decided to go full PC with the exception of Nintendo. Yes, consoles are super simply to setup...plug-n-play, but if you buy both of the consoles, then you have essentially bought a PC especially after two console generations or even these new 1/2 console generations. I’d rather have the higher fidelity experience on the PC despite having to worry about drivers, updates, hardware, etc.
