I just submitted a request for an RMA for my PSU because it doesn't power on. When I submitted the request I put that there was no physical damage. However when I was boxing it I noticed a tiny scratch on the bottom left (pic should be attached). Does that count as physical damage an would that potentially result in my RMA being denied? If so would it be possible to update the RMA request so that it reflect that scratch? Thanks in Advance - A very anxious first time PC builder.

Not sure why the link to the image isn't posting.

Yes, EVGA has refused to replace PSUs under warranty in the past due to a tiny insignificant scratch. It's sad and pathetic, but it has happened. There is a thread about it somewhere on this forum.
I hope the best for you, and hope that you don't get a representative who is so short-sighted to care about the current expense versus long-term customer service.

So Should I message support to have that information added to my RMA claim?

Okay. I talked to support and the individual who I previously talked to when I started this whole process has made a note in the RMA. They don't think it'll be an issue since it's not that big of a scratch. However they went ahead and marked this RMA as a special case and made a note to be sure. Thanks for all the help :)

Must be a US thing, never heard of the EU side giving a crap about a scratch.

Would like to ask here instead of creating another thread: took the PSU out of the DG-86 and it's a super tight fit so it got scratched pretty bad. Should these scratches be reason for concern?

PSU is working absolutely fine but could it affect warranty if it dies someday?

    (not my PSU)
Warranty was denied by RMA tech, then again by RMA manager, a month later upper management chimed in saying warranty is not void. 2017 is when evga changed and started nitpicking products sent in for warranty service.
