In 21 days, it looks like Nvidia will reveal something new, and while Nvidia has said nothing official about this announcement, it is likely to be the reveal of new hardware. "21 Days 21 Years". That's all that Nvidia has to say on the matter. In 21 days, on August 31st, it will be the 21st Anniversary of the company's Geforce 256 reveal. Today, the countdown has started towards the reveal of what could be new Geforce products. Will August 31st be the reveal date of Nvidia's Ampere lineup of Geforce Products? Another possibility is that August 31st will see Nvidia launch its Ampere series of Quadro products, mirroring Nvidia's Turing reveal. With Turing, Nvidia revealed its Quadro RTX product line before its Geforce equivalents. and the same could hold true for Ampere. For now, all we can do is wait for August 31st. I agree and I think this will be the 'ampere' Quadro release. If so then the consumer models should follow next month.

Thankfully that seems unlikely, NVIDIA's GeForce accounts were hyping the countdown and it's unlikely they would be using many of them for Quadro products. As someone on Reddit pointed out: "256(Geforce 256) x 21(days) = 5376 Which is the exact rumored spec of the full fat GA102." Though, it wouldn't surprise me if Jenson picked Aug 31st just because nearly all the rumors have been saying Sept/Oct for the past year...

I don't think it'd be just Quadro, as the Geforce twitter @NVIDIAGeForce accounts are promoting it, and @NVIDIADesign (the quadro twitter) isn't mentioning it.
plus hyping up a Quadro line doesn't seem to make a lot of sense, least not in this format. A quadro announcement will likely happen around the same time, but with less and a different type of fanfare.

being as cynical as I am, ampere is finally ready for consumers
all that matters is the cost of a new card
digital coins are up so i might be hanging on to my RTX 2080 a while longer depending if NVIDIA has enough cards to handle the rush

Well, to be fair, NVIDIA hasn't released anything yet either, so honestly it is both AMD speculation and NVIDIA speculation at this point. Some of the NVIDIA products from the current generation are EOL and are getting harder to buy. On the other hand, we still have products from AMD; and new AMD designs are still being announced. So, you could say that AMD still has something on the table while NVIDIA is removing stuff from the table and has not yet brought anything new to the table. The AMD RX 5700 XT is still available and is still the most recent GPU to be awarded the title of overall best GPU by Gamers Nexus.

😹😹 So you are.confirming this due to speculation or actual evidence🤔 AMD has been bringing it all these years till it got the product check Intel's status. Next will be Nvidia.
