I moved you out of that old thread and into your own thread
Which GPU do you own - EVGA part number ?
Several EVGA 2080 Ti cards came with a usb-c output to DVI video (not sure if all versions got the adapter)
I've read about some testing usb-c output to DP - though I've not tried it
I'm not sure about the usb-c to hdmi --> did not find any results on a quick search - I would think it should work if you can find the adapter

Hi theocurtis,
You will need to use a USB-C to HDMI 2.0 Active adapter to convert the USB-C video signal. USB-C to DisplayPort Active adapter will work too.

Because you have 4 monitors already connected? Or, why would you find this to be a useful feature? Just curious.

USB-C can display video but also provides enough power for devices like a VR headset using only a single cable. The 100W of power plus 40GB of data speeds makes USB-C a good option for people looking to clear up cable clutter.

i came here with the same thought, i currently have a 2080ti FTW 3 Ultra.
thooooough if all things happen cough, it might be the 3090 tonight (peeks at the evga.com.au page for when that updates) though this may be moot in the case the 3090 has more connections
but the question came from in my case.
i use 4 monitors atm
a 3440x1440, a 2560x1440 and 2x 1080p monitors,
but i was needing another "output" to run to a video capture on a streaming pc to take a duplicate of the 2560x1440 monitor.
with peters response im guessing this works?
though a follow up is, what kind of performance loss (if any) is there?

From all leaks that i saw 3k Nvidia GPU's wont have USB-C anymore.

Sorry to necropost but I have the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 XC ULTRA GAMING (08G-P4-2183-RX, 8GB GDDR6) and it has 3 DP, 1 HDMI and 1 USB Type-C and wanted to know whether the USB Type-C can carry video or is it just power? I need to run a 12.5" 2K portable monitor and I need to be able to do it over the Type-C port. Is it running video at 20 or 40Gbps or is it just for power?

I believe the USB C can support monitors which have USB C inputs. It depends on your monitor really whether it can handle only the video/power from the USB C or if it is designed only to handle the video.

Yes it's designed to accept video and power over USB Type-C, I just wasn't sure if that USB Type-C port on the video card was though. Thank you for the answer.
