Hey everyone, as the title says, my 1000 G2 will not power up my build. I have incrementally disconnected and plugged back in all the cables from the PSU and the module it supports. In addition, I have tested it with barebones modules plugged in and it will not power up either. I saw a similar problem on this forum and traced the solution steps to no avail. It will work using the tester though.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You're using only the cables that came with the G2, right?

There have been cable problems before, usually SATA power cables that are faulty or incorrect for the unit..Maybe just leave the SATA power cable(s) disconnected and try it.

You could also connect only the 24-pin ATX and 8-pin CPU connectors to the mobo and see if it attempts to boot up.

Haha I looked through the past forums regarding this issue and you were always a big help so it's nice to have some help from you. Thanks.

I have tried exactly what you said and neither worked. And yes, I am only using the cables that came with it.

Well, I think it's RMA time then since you already did the Power Supply Test..I think there's a 10 year warranty on it.

Dang, okay thanks for the insight. I’ll be trying a friend’s PSU to see if it could be the motherboard. If not, then I’ll be taking advantage of that warranty. Thanks!

Yeah, could be the mobo..Or the case power switch..Make sure all connections are correct on the front panel header and everywhere else..You can momentarily short the two PWRBTN pins on the front panel header with a screwdriver or something metal to simulate pressing the power button.

Good that you can borrow a known-good PSU though

Hey everyone, I figured it out! I made the mistake of putting the power switch in the wrong slot. After I solved that, it all came together. Thanks everyone!

Stuff happens..I mixed up the Power and Reset connectors on the front panel header once..Oddly, it didn't turn on as expected
