Hi,

So I do understand (tested, works) that 32GB DIMMs are/have been supported for a while now.

But @Staff, is there any hope (Perhaps Product Management can simply check in with the Engineers?) of 64GB DIMMs ever working on the X299 DARK and/or other X299 boards?

With only 4 DIMM slots, it would be nice to be able to max out the platform's highest supported 256GB of system memory ;-)

Unfortunately no current plans at this time. I do apologize.

    Thanks, Brandon.

So, then, I take it that it's not completely out of the question - just not currently on the board.

I'll jump on mine for some playing in UEFI later on today. Until then I might be wrong but last I recall, an Intel Management Engine Firmware Update may be a nice to have, at least. How about that one?

Actually it'd be great if you could run both of these by Prod. Mgmt. / Engineering if possible to get the balls rolling sooner rather than later, potentially!

    :-)

No hope. No such modules exist.

Well now, that's just simply not true...

Maybe Alibaba or AliExpress lack marketplace sellers who have them, but check anywhere not under a rock (e.g. amazon, newegg even!) and you'll find 128GB (2x64GB) (64GBx2) kits. ;)

I couldn't find 64GB modules that would work with X299 chipset on neither Newegg nor Amazon. I would be interested to see them. Do you have  links to them, please?

There are no 64 GB unbuffered modules exist, because 16Gbit is maximum chip density for DDR4. So maximum UDIMM is 32GByte size, as result.
Bigger modules are using more chips and are RDIMM and LRDIMMs type, which are supported only by server platforms and specific layout for them (more signals routed from CPU).

If you have question, please post in public forum. I do not reply PMs, so all in community can benefit the answer.

That's what I thought because only modules of such size I could find were all for server platforms.
