Hi. Just built a system and have some questions about clc360 installation onto motherboard and bios settings:

1) Is it better or does it make any difference if the 3-pin is connected to (MSI Z490 Unify) CPU-1 header or Pump header?

2) In Bios, should the settings for "CPU" be PWM, DC, or Auto? And...is the "pump" setting not applicable, because nothings plugged into the Pump header?

3) Does the connected 3-pin simply provide power to the aio and the usb/mini USB cable control basically used for showing fan/pump rpm's in Flow Control software?

4) Does anything in Bios control the pump?

Thanks a bunch ~ Steve

1. Doesn't matter..But I would use the pump header, that's what it's for and should be configured by default to run a pump..Only thing is, is that you might get a CPU fan error during POST because no CPU fan speed is detected and it will halt right and go no further there unless you can set the CPU fan header to Disabled or Ignore in the BIOS..If there's no setting to Disabled or Ignore CPU fan speed and you get an error, then you'll need to connect the pump to the CPU fan header.

2. If nothing's plugged into the CPU fan header, it's N/A..If nothing's plugged into the Pump header, it's N/A..See 4 below.

3. Yes and yes..The USB cable is for Flow Control Pump/Fan/RGB control.

4. Yes..You need to be sure the header you use to power the pump is set to 100% and it doesn't matter if it's set to DC or PWM Mode.

Thanks!

On a side note no related to the pump, but related to LED Sync utility--does the rtx 2080 ti ftw3 ultra have RGB or just white lights. Figured out the CLC 360 RGB, but havent tried changing any settings for the graphics card in LED Sync. It shows up there.
