The new Bios seems to correct the issue for me. What about you all?

Not for me. I have been having the same issues with my bluetooth. I'll connect a device and it will stay connected for about a minute or two before disconnecting. Sometimes bluetooth disappears all together on my computer. Other times it will stay on and require turning off and turning it back on for it to reconnect a device, only for it to repeat.

I tried the new bios from 9/4 and it's still having the same problem as before.

Welp, I updated to BIOS 1.06 and my replacement network m.2 key-E card is acting funky. I'm not taking my computer apart again. So far, the Z490 FTW has been an absolute cluster of a board to deal with. Make me think ASUS and Ryzen will be the way to go next time I upgrade.

Yes, the antennas are used for wifi and bluetooth. Read your manual. Page #8 shows that they are used for wifi and bluetooth.
Screw the antennas on. It's often harmful for a radio device when you don't have an antenna installed since the antenna is a load and the device can operate out of spec without a proper load. Without a load (antenna) the transmitted signal will get reflected back into the transmitter (wifi/bluetooth device, or whatever other application you consider), cause a voltage spike, and can fry/deteriorate the transmitter.
Always install all antennas, even if you aren't using the functionality, because the device can be damaged otherwise. It may not be damaged, but why risk it?

Well I'm not sure about your statement that the device will be faulty if I don't install the antenna if I have wasn't going to use the function. Anyways..  I did put them on just to see if I can get bluletooth working it does connect somewhat but then dies within a few mins.

Resolved it by disabling the intel Bluetooth device in device manager plugged in my cheap USB TPlink UB400 works perfect.

Did anyone ever figure this out? Having the same issue. I'm getting random hardware error logging themselves as USB issues. Then the Bluetooth goes away and I'm left with a USB device descriptor error in the device manager

I spoke to customer service about a month ago and found out that there is a firmware update that can be downloaded from intel directly. I haven't had any issues since the update. Download intel Driver and support assistant and let it do the rest for you.

Unfortunately I cannot confirm that it was a firmware update because I don't remember, I called EVGA tech support on an unrelated issue and had just inquired about it. I did what he had stated to do and it's working.

I have the Z490 FTW Wifi, bios version 1.04.

I'm having this issue also but I didn't notice it until I started using bluetooth headphones.  One day I went to grab my headphones and they weren't connecting.  So I went through common troubleshooting issues assuming it was a corrupt driver.  When rebooting at the time I was getting 4 beeps.

The only way to get bluetooth back is to turn off my computer and turn off the psu.  The beep codes disappear after doing this.

I tried this and it didn't say I needed a firmware or driver update.

This is still an issue for me too. When the boards first came out they sent me an RMA. After I called back with the second they said everyone was having the issue. They know its there. Is it just me or has their Customer care on this just tanked?

I am STILL trying to get customer service to work with me on this and I keep getting the run around. I thought EVGA was supposed to be premium, but seems they rather avoid dealing with motherboards. Has anyone replaced the m.2 wifi card? Did it help? If not I am going to have to give something else a try. I heard bleeding edge was rough, but at this point its a whole gen later and no response? Still the same issue since day 1 in July. They have really let customer care fall to the wayside. Think I will go with a different brand for my next computer. Heavily disappointed.

Probably at this point a USB Bluetooth is just the easiest fix

Z490 March'21 RMA from EVGA to replace new Oct'20 MOBO.  Defective Intel Bluetooth m.2 Modular that did fail and was a sporadic problem that increased in frequency. Tech support gave me the procedure to check and eventually problem was clearly evident in BIOS info and Device Manager.  Failure to recognize and reported oddities.  Checked before return if an EXACT latest version replacement modular was available for POSSIBLE self fix... NOT!!!)   UNFORTUNATELY, #1 replacement MOBO came with a different problem: NVMe m.2 recognition problem SO another RMA and weeks of waiting for replacement #2.  Productivity (not a gamer) was severely impacted that COST me! Only good was that now I can say I did nearly 3 builds.  Now I question if I want to do another few new builds for another HP replacement and for relatives!
FYI:    Pleased (exceeded expectations) with limited OC Bios settings for locked CPU up to 4.7GHz / MEM up to 3680MHz or CPU 5.2GHz/Mem 2133MHz NEVER exceeds 71c fully stressed!              Appreciate any feed back.

I would try to get it RMA'd if possible..

if not, the Bluetooth modules/dongles/add in cards aren't horribly expensive...at the moment...

That's very odd. Have you tried reaching out to support? Might be able to get a new mobile or Bluetooth chip.
