So I finally got around to looking over my old X58 motherboard and figured out why it stopped working. I'm pretty sure there is supposed to be a tantulum capacitor here at C655.
Its a 141-bl-e757-tr motherboard. Can someone help me identify what component fell off?

Thanks!

What brand motherboard is it? make/model? maybe we can find some photos within google. I'm not sure however if any photos will show the type of capacitor is required? Or, would an EVGA tech be allowed to share that information? Maybe if you were to get a replacement you could solder it yourself?

    Definitely a ceramic/tantalum capacitor, see the "C" marking and the - | | - symbol.

I never got around to fixing the missing capacitor but I did manage to snag an E767 off ebay to swap out with my dead motherboard. X58 lives on!
