My folding slot keeps dumping my 2070 Super & changing back to my CPU (as a GPU slot). This is happening at random; no shut downs or restarts, etc.

Did a full re-install yesterday & it still happened overnight. No idea what is going on but I'm really regretting this M$ 2004 Windows update.

While it is a daunting task, it may be useful to report this on the folding forums as it could be a bug. I would guess that Bruce will immediately blame you for overclocking even if you tell him you aren’t, but sometimes the updates cause issues with the folding software.

Yeah; this is squarely on the 2004 update. Been getting a bunch of BSODs and now this...

When it happens, are you able to see the change in the notes that are saved? It’s been a while, so I can not remember exactly what the tab is called in the folding software, but it keeps track of everything as the units are working.

Basically it's seeing the iGPU on my 6700K as the first folding slot and every once in a while it'll just snap to it as the default folding card.

I'd check the system info tab and explicitly create folding slots based on the GPU list and Cuda/OpenCL assignments.
They are testing new Wu that will work with integrated graphics and this may be an unfortunate side effect.
Also as a side note, always reinstall Nvidia Drivers after every Windows 10 feature update (1903, 1909, 2004 etc...). I usually wait a few minutes after first boot after logging in just to give Windiws Update time to update any other drivers first.

I DDU every driver update & I'm on the latest. I did give Windows time & I'm wondering if that pulled the iGPU driver down which keeps trying to be the main slot.

If you are not utilizing the iGPU, disable it in the Bios. That will Force it to ignore the iGPU.

Yeah, I enabled it to do transcoding but if it keeps auto-switching I don't see another way.

Try setting  the igpu on idle, in the advanced FAH control, and adding another slot manually for your 2070 gpu.

I was having a similar problem with the FAH adding a gpu for the onboard graphics and my work around was to split the remaining cpu cores between 2 cpu slots of 3 each.
No more onboard gpu slot being created automatically

It actually auto loaded the onboard gpu and I had to ad a slot for the RTX2060. Then I deleted the onboard gpu..
    Fun times

Hoping you get this sorted out.  Unfortunately, without direct remote access to directly tinker, I'm more likely to suggest the WRONG thing because sometimes those things are just hinky . . . Play with it for half an hour, tho, and I'll have it SMOOTH as silk . . .

I went in and completely purged F @ H files and settings from the PC, then re-installed and set my slots. All good so far.

The folding app occasionally has difficulties reading config files. This can cause strange behavior for the default Auto selected slot assignment. Especially now that they are working on support for integrated Intel and AMD gpus.

I think the newer Windows drivers are interacting with Windows 10 in a strange way. Unfortunately I am not much help as my only system with an integrated gpu is not experiencing any issues. But I also haven't enabled the igpu so it hasn't presented any problems.

As a preventative measure, I habitually check the System info and config after every driver update and tend to reinstall the Nvidia drivers after every system update.

I have two Asus motherboards both using Windows 10 with onboard graphics enabled and in use.
The Prime Z270 has 0 issues with FAH installing a igpu in a slot...knock on Wood...lol
The WS Z390 Pro originally did not have an issue with FAH adding a igpu slot on reboot, because I had built and started the machine with 2 gpu's installed and Windows device manager had installed a basic graphics driver for the igpu and said it didn't have enough resources to run the right driver(worded differently by Windows but it had disabled it)
BUT the onboard graphics worked fine.
THEN...super bright ...super smart ...ME... messed around...uninstalled the gpu's ...rebooted...windows installed the Intel UHD Graphics 630 ...AND
FAH has been installing a slot for the igpu...
    MY BAD...totally
All because I wanted all the folders in Device Manager to be closed and no little triangles.
My third machine is a WS Z390 Pro and will be fired up for the first time with all gpu's installed and I am sure it will run fine...When I finally get my mining cases...
    Just needed to share.
    Thank you for reading
This is how I control the igpu
Only downside, imo, is it is still attempting download...

Where the client is apparently trying to pull the GPU info off the APU automatically, this guide might be of service to manually make sure ONLY the dedicated GPUs are being used.

I use it on my prime rig because I definitely don't have matched up hardware on it, and this helps ensure that when I want my 2080 to fold that it is INDEED my 2080 that's folding.
