Hey all, wondering if any one can chime in on this issue I've been having. After flashing the latest BIOS on my board, I ALWAYS drop one of my memory channels and end up with 24gb of RAM. In BIOS and OS. Nothing works to fix issue. Re seating sticks, different sticks, one stick at a time, etc. I've cleaned up the slot as I thought there was some vaseline in there or something and that didn't solve anything either.

However, when I use the XOC BIOS all is well and good. Bizarre. The new BIOS is the only answer I can come up with. It's not really a real big problem, but it gets old having to power cycle and switch BIOS's back and forth every time to get a mem channel to come back lol.

7980xe with G. Skill mems. I try with a legit quad channel set I have, and then with Neo's that I have and even my daily Corsair sticks throw the same problem. Doesn't matter what SKU or brand, like I said none work until switching to XOC BIOS. Happens on my 7980xe and 9900x.

I have no problem running any Gskill memory regardless of what bios I use since that is the only memory I use all of the time. I have a i9 7960K which I have been using for almost 2 years now without dropping memory channels.

If that will help you with troubleshooting I haven't experienced any channel dropping on my X299 Dark with neither of my Corsair and G.Skill kits on any versions of BIOS I've used (1.20, 1.21, and 1.23). CPU is i9-10900X.

I have the same problem with my memory.
Could you please explain how you setup the XOC BIOS so I can try and get all my memory showing up.
I see it’s my dimm 2 slot which is not working.
I believe we need new firmware to resolve our issues.
    My CPU 10900x
