This includes support for DirectX Raytracing (DXR) version 1.1 as well as support for mesh shaders, sampler feedback, and variable-rate shading (VRS). Additionally, this driver supports Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling when used with the Windows 10 May 2020 Update.

  • [Divinity Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition]: The game experiences low performance when hardware accelerated GPU scheduling is enabled. [3009631]
  • [Notebook]: Windows Mixed Reality headsets may display jitter when connected to the HDMI port linked to the NVIDIA Optimus notebook integrated graphics. [2971312]
  • [G-SYNC]: G-SYNC does not work with DirectX 9 games if “Disable full screen optimizations” is selected. [2969897]
  • Display brightness increases while enabling GPU scaling. [200612966]
  • NVIDIA HD Audio may disappear after display goes to sleep. [2807732]

Users that wish to enable "hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" will need to do so in the Windows 10 graphics settings panel after having installed the driver.

^ Yeah but if I did not enable it there was a new selection menu within NVIDIA Control Panel's Program Settings for each game which I did not like as if left new alone it greyed out the specify settings and (?) was unable to change them.  Think it said "let Windows decide"  "integrated graphics" and "hardware acceleration"?

Okay to any and all, when I go to setup Max Frame Rate the default setting is 58 FPS but I have been setting it to 60 FPS .. so the question (yep you guess it) is should I be using 58 or am I right to use 60 and if not what benefit is there to have it two frames less than the 60Hz monitor plus what dose it mean for the display of things?
Some games I use Vsync and some do not it is all dependent on how well the game preforms under the extra load of Vsync.

I'm getting some strange blurryness on fonts with this driver (standard desktop) a lot of fonts ended up with rainbow fringing. I had to roll back 446.14

Did you  check the settings in the Nvidia control panel to see if it had changed your resolution or bit depth settings?

Yup went through all the desktop bit depth settings, and the resolution. Went through the windows display settings checked the hardware accelerated scheduling on and off. Did a DDU reinstalled clean still same issue. Reinstalled 446.14 and everything is fixed.

The issue is most obvious if you go to clear type configuration as everything massively has rainbow fringing along the edges of the font but 446.14 is sharp.

I'll just wait for the next driver chances are good since they did do something major move up the WDDM something couldn't get tested in time and broke everyone being out of the office and all and this type of problem requiring physical hardware to verify this on. Mind you when the issue is present certain fonts will have a more pronounced fringing than others microsoft's default windows 10 font presents the issue somewhat strong. Could be a combination with my monitor as well it's a MSI Optix 27 G2.

Anyways since I use my desktop for more than gaming being unable to comfortably read fonts is a deal breaker so I'll just stay on 446.14

I've seen a few drivers apparently mess with subpixel rendering. As I'm running at 4K, it's not as noticeable and I've not noticed a change with this driver. What about any of the other 45X.XX drivers?

As this is the first WHQL official 45x.xx driver I don't have any experience with the other drivers.

i have noticed that with HDR On in windows settings old non HDR games (Ghost Recon Future Solider,H.A.W.X 2) will crash when launched but if i turn HDR off in windows everything is good. 451.48 driver was the first time i have seen this behavior.
