hello, just wondering how I can fix a fan not spinning anymore, its only happened recently as my temps have shot up dramatically. I've noticed this recently as my temps in games have gone up alot normally running the fans at 40% playing games my temps are around 50-60c. now its hitting 90c even using 70% fan speed. the left fan does not spin at all, it starts up spins for about 3 rotations then just stops for 10 seconds & repeats. all cables are seated tightly into the gpu aswell. ive tried fully reinstalling windows + multiple drivers, so im guessing this a hardware issue with the fan itself. cheers

You checked that the fan cable that plugs into the fan header on the pcb are plugged in correctly?

Are you using an OC software like EVGA Precision X1 or MSI Afterburner ? With the PC unplugged --> does the fan spin freely ?

I have not, im not quite sure how to? do I have to take the backplate off? Cool GTX Are you using an OC software like EVGA Precision X1 or MSI Afterburner ? With the PC unplugged --> does the fan spin freely ?
I am using MSI after burner atm, I didn't have it for the first few days while I was testing games & still the fan was doing the exact same thing, turns for 3 rotations then stops for 10 seconds then repeats. even if the card was hitting 80c only the right fan would be spinning. yeah the fan does spin freely when the pc is unplugged. thank you.

You'll just need to take the card out of the system and physically inspect it to see if the fan cables are fully seated.

Sounds like you just got a dead fan then. Doing a cross ship rma if still under warranty would be the best option that way you could just swap the coolers between the cards yourself.

The iCX Cooling fans run independently of each other based on the graphics card's GPU, PWM, and Memory temperatures. The primary (left) fan is controlled by the GPU's temperature, the secondary (right) fan is controlled by the PWM and Memory temperature..Without any software (EVGA Precision/MSI Afterburner) intervention, the respective fans should come on at 60C each. You should be able to control the fans with Precision XOC..If you can't run them manually at 100%, then yeah, the fan/controller has issues and it's RMA time.

yeah just downloaded Precision XOC & only the right fan can spin @100%, the left one just does the exact same thing (spins for a few rotations then stops for 10 seconds & repeats)
