I just installed the 280 CLC and the Flow Control CPU reading is 50C high making the fan curve useless.

I'm running Ryzen 5 2600, ASUS B-450M-A, m.2 storage, 16GB DDR4 @3200, RX 570 OC Armor on Windows 10. bios, chipset, etc, all updated.

Any ideas?

All I can tell you is to make sure you're using the latest version of Flow Control (2.0.9 as of now).

I would uninstall Flow Control and restart your PC..Then close all running programs in the Taskbar and System Tray..Then install Flow control and run it..Then restart your PC again to restore the programs in the Taskbar and System Tray again.

Flow Control for Windows 10 64bit
Flow Control for Windows 10 32bit

Thanks for the reply, Bob. Troubleshooting steps didn't work. When I tried 2.0.8, the CPU temp reading was 10C low. Seems like neglected code to me.

My solution is using NZXT Cam. Fan curve is great and allows for 0% 700rpm. Pump defaults to minimum but can be changed to max rpm, no curves. Didn't buy this thing for the EVGA logo, so lighting isn't important to me.

The main thing is the fricken code can find correct CPU, GPU, Liquid temps.

If anyone has a better solution, pls let me know!

    EDIT: can't paste links
I'd been in the same boat with fan speeds reaching 100% at 60 degrees unless AUTO mode was selected.

I probably have a workaround that I tested fine by making a profile and manually editing it.

    1. Browse over to C:\Program Files (x86)\EVGA\Flow Control\Profiles
    1. Make a new profile '1' in EVGA flow app.  This will create a new cfg file in above directory say CPUWB_0.cfg
    3. Edit this file in Admin mode (I used notepad++) and change the below string
    000100000000000600000000000000140000001900000020000000230000002A0000003C0000002E0000004B000000340000005A0000003C00000064

    to
    000100000000000600000000000000140000001900000020000000230000002A0000003C0000002E0000004B000000340000005A0000003C0000004B

     4. Apply profile and monitor fan speed.

The above piece reflects the 60 degrees (3C is hex for 60) and 100% fan speed(64 in hex)
I changed the max speed to 4B (75%) and applied profile and it worked.
You may repeat and modify for other points manually.

NOTE: Opening fan curve would revert my changes.  So I only applied profiles to test out.  I haven't tested it out extensively so please try it out.

    That new to me
But I do have CLC Cooler running without EVGA Flow software which I don't need and I use onboard motherboard fan control is much better.. Do I need usb lead to Flow pub or software other ..So check out my post #4

Yes that can be a solution but then you have decoupled fan/pump speed.
I think it's high time flow software should get fixed.  Anyways, the workaround worked for me.  I discovered this issue as my CPU was running hot while running benchmarks for several minutes and the noise is crazy at 100% fan speed.

Well thank you in your input, *IF* you had examine the whole thread, you'll have read that I can overclock my FTW's now not similar to the 'simple' EVGA GTX 970 (with the higher ASIC rating), therefor I am dissatisfied. In different phrases ; I can overclock the the obvious GTX 970 better than the FTW. Which shouldn't be feasible imho. Oh properly. Thank you anyhow.
