I would like to add a drive to the short M.2 slot on my X99 motherboard. I am totally lost in the confusing maze of drive types and formats!
Could someone give me some links to examples of the drive I need (NewEgg / Amazon?)?
Also, an idiot's guide to setting it up in Bios, so I don't have to call and have support walk me through it ----- again.

    2x M.2 Ports
    -M.2 Socket 1 (Slot E) shares signal distribution from USB2.0 #3 port,
please select the operational mode in BIOS setup menu
-M.2 Socket 2 (Slot M) shares signal distribution from PE5, please select the operational mode in BIOS setup menu

In the manual it looks like it's a type 2, labeled as 22 in figure 1 (page 8 of part 1 of the manual).

That one isn't for storage, but for bluetooth and wifi m.2 cards, per page 3 of part 1 of the manual: Type2 M.2 for WLAN, Type3 M.2 for SSD

Long story short: the long m.2 slot is for a SSD, the short one (which you are asking about for your X99 Classified) is for WLAN.

The drive slot is made for a 2230 m.2 drive.
