I used the PCIE cable included in the box to plug it into my gpu, however it refuses to budge into the VGA port on the power supply my MB and CPU as well as 1 SATA port is filled in.

This is an image of the point where it is stuck and I cannot push it in any longer.

The EVGA 550W B3 product specs shows having two 8-pin (6+2-Pin) connectors labeled 'VGA' that go into the video card..Use the 2-pin part to make a full 8-pin connector for the video card..Leave the 2-pin part hanging to make a 6-pin connector for the video card..It's the solid 8-pin connector labeled 'VGA' that goes into the power supply VGA socket.

I’m sorry if I was confusing, but that’s what I did but the solid 8 pin doesn’t go into the VGA port on the power supply

Cable mix-ups have been known to happen, that's probably the deal..It may have been boxed with a cable for a different PSU right from EVGA..I suggest you Contact EVGA Customer Service and talk to them and they should send you the right cable..Don't try forcing anything.

Or, you could return/take the PSU back to where you bought it from.
