Has anybody been able to attach an Apple Thunderbolt Display through the USB 3.1 using an adapter? I'm considering buying after not finding any 3rd party alternatives but hoping someone else with experience can share.

    I'm not sure this would be a specific issue to just the Z370 ... would probably apply to all MB
     
     
    You talking about buying a PCIe adapter ?
     
    Or, some sort of USB 3.1 - dongle / adapter ?

    The PCIe adapters I've looked at appear to be for specific motherboards so I don't think that is an option. There is the USB-C adapter from Apple I've linked above as well as . From poking around evga's driver downloads I found Z270 Classified K thunderbolt drivers. Z370 Classified K drivers page doesn't list those unfortunately.

    Sorry, I just realized my links were getting filtered out. One was to the Apple USB-C Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter ($49) and the other was to the Star Tech USB-C Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter ($79).
