Hi everyone, I know that the two „Killer“-NIC do not support WOL. (My last hope was that with latest BIOS version -I am on v1.14 - it might come....). Does somebody of you know whether it would funtion when I add an adequate PCI-NIC (e.g. an Intel I210T1 Ethernet Server Adapter, or any other) which provides WOL)? Would this help (BIOS/Board) to get WOL working? Many thanks in advance, Worli

I not sure maybe this may help you I think Killer does support WOL (Wake on Lan) Enabling Wake-On-LAN

Finally you helped a lot by telling me that it "should work". I continued to search for resolutions which I finally found.. So thanks a lot, No need for an alternative NIC now. Kind regards, Worli Hi and thank you for your fast reply. I am currently on Debian Buster and already checked via „ethtool enp12s0 |grep Wake-on“ whether WOL is available: Negative (for both NIC). Therefore I tried to directly activate it in the BIOS directly. Also not possible. kind regards, Worli

After a longer time I found now an article which states that "For some newer Atheros-based NICs (such as Atheros AR8161 and Killer E2500), WOL support has been disabled in the mainline alx module due to a bug causing unintentional wake-up." (see ). The solution can also be found . (In case somebody with Linux needs this problem solution.....) Kind regards, Worli

Any news on this would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to do the same, I have been since I purchased the board 2 years ago. It is especially needed now considering my pc is not in reach, and I now have it hooked up solely through the tv. Any info at all would be grateful. I will favorite this and check back frequently until there is a solution within the board or the bios. thanks to all in this post.
