Can we get a hand over here!? FYI Anyone on our team can join in. No need to sign up individually...just make sure you join crunching@evga for each project. Check out the active projects on the event page (see OP for link) and throw some cores at them. OR you could just run Rosetta on CPU 24/7 together with GPU Folding, if that's your thing. Rosetta will count for the entire duration of the event.

Been running Rosetta. Each task is taking around 35 hours. I don't remember Rosetta tasks taking this long in the past. They need to up the point awards for the long run times.

I must not have the long ones checked. All of my tasks between 4 and 7 hours and you are right, points per hour of compute are low, but I’m getting all COVID tasks so not worrying about it much.

I have the long ones checked. When we get closer to the end I will lower the time to run setting.

Did some digging around in my account on the Rosetta page and found that my run time had been set to the maximum of 1 day 12 hours. I did not change this setting at all so I am not sure how this happened. I decided to play around with it and see if I can get some fast running tasks. Nope, the shortest you can go is 8 hours. Even if you set it to 2, 4, or 6 hours you still get 8 hour long tasks.

The 3rd day of the Javelin Throw has been announced. 14 May 2020 0:00 UTC to 15 May 2020 0:00 UTC. I’ll probably be concentrating on this because most of my rigs struggled with Amicable’s memory hungry tasks.

A 4th day has been added for the javelin throw. 15 May 2020 0:00 UTC to 16 May 2020 0:00 UTC. So essentially 48 hours long starting now. Also Ibercivis BOINC has been announced as the 5th discipline. Start: 16 May 2020 00:00 UTC. End: 19 May 2020 00:00 UTC I thought this project was dead so looking around, I see another iteration in the stats page. Created a Team for us. Your old credentials may not work there so be ready to create a password and join the team. 1 last thing, 0 work units are ready to send out and a lot of our powerful opponents are crunching so.........

Got some tasks over-nite and they are co-vid related. This is a CPU project.

Yeah I noticed that this research is COVID related. Taking about 1.5 hrs on my 3800X.

This is a new version of Ibercivis. They added Boinc to the name and started fresh. I may be wrong but, I think the old team broke up a couple years ago and a new one has emerged and decided to use the old name and just added Boinc onto it to differentiate it from the old project. I'm signed up and joined the team. I have one task running to see if its any better than to continue running Rosetta.

Nearing one day to go for this event! Rosetta, Ibercivis (both CoViD releated/CPUproject), and NumberFields (starting later today) until the end. Not doing as well as past years but it seems we have fewer participants this time. Thanks to those who joined in. I enjoy these events and we tend to do well considering how many people we have compared to other teams.
