What are the GPU temps? What are your full system specs?

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

GPU temps are fine as far as I can tell. Games will crash at temperatures anywhere from 55°C (Tomb Raider) to 75°C (Rise of Tomb Raider). At stock settings, the gpu puts out brown/light purple screens during userbenchmark testing. Once downclocked, the only games that run into severe issues is the Tomb Raider series and Half-Life Alyx an hour or so under load.

    Full System Specs
    Motherboard: ASRock H110M-DGS R3.0
    CPU: i7-6700K 4.0 GHz
    Memory: 16 GB DDR4 2133

userbenchmark.com/UserRun/26078917 (this benchmark is with the GPU downclocked)

The power supply is a Thermaltake TR2 600W

The Thermaltake is almost 4 years old. I did try replacing the PSU with a 850 watt off ebay, but the same problems persisted, so I returned the power supply. I can't return the card since I bought it used.

Best advice I could give would be to test the card in another known good working pc to see if it acts the same way. If it does act the same way in another known good working pc then the card will need to be replaced.

If the card is borked, in a pinch you may be able to fix it by baking the PCB (aka the 'oven trick').

Solder on the PCB may be cracked somewhere (not uncommon with cards of that era) and disassembling it and baking only the PCB should reflow any cracks that might exist and then hopefully it will work like new again, at least for a while, or a long time, or not even at all if a component failure has occurred.

200C for 10 minutes should do it..Bake only with the GPU side up.

That is hilarious! I just watched the linus tech tips video on this method from 2016 to make sure you weren't messing with me.
Unfortunately, I don't have a spare oven haha.
I think I'll just run the card as is and hope it stays alive till the 30 series launch.
Maybe if it gets worse, I'll try a heat gun on it.
I appreciate the tip. It's too funny that baking old GPU's in the oven can solve issues.

Optionally, there's also the microwave method
