Good Afternoon All,

I sent my laptop to be repaired in the EU branch in Germany and they are saying my warranty is VOID because the laptop is missing the serial number sticker at the back of the laptop. Is there any way I can still keep my warranty? I've been having countless of issues ever since I got the laptop in 2018 - GPU fan failure, HDD failure, USB ports not working, screws falling off the laptop...it's been a nightmare. And now I'm being told my warranty is void. Is there anything that can be done? This is very frustrating :(

If the serial number sticker is missing, I think that you are well and truly out of luck.  That is very obviously part of the terms of the warranty.

What happened to the serial number sticker?

Screws falling out of the laptop is a common problem with all sorts of different brands of laptops.  As soon as you take the screws out one time, they will just keep falling out again and again; unless you add more blue loctite when you install them.

How did you fix the GPU fan failure and hard drive failure?  Did you get a warranty replacement once in the past, or have you just been ignoring those problems for more than a year?

Sorry for the late reply, I took the serial number off when I registered the product online on evga.com. I now realize you should not have done that. Regarding the screws: The SC15 has a particularly worse problem with the screws, a lot of threads can be found online and videos on youtube. They fall off because of vibrations, before I even opened the laptop. That's the smallest problem I have though. HDD failed about a month and a half in, in 2018. The GPU fan rattling started about 2 months ago on and off, and then it got worse so I stopped using it. I have not gotten a warranty replacement in the past, I got an RMA approved back in 2019 but honestly could not figure out a cheap way to send my laptop to Germany (it costed around 170 euros at the time) I live in a small country in eastern Europe called Kosovo. So I got another RMA approved now, and sent the laptop. I can provide screenshots of all the tickets I have submitted outlining these issues, starting from 2018 till now, in case they are needed. The laptop has been performing really well and the built is fantastic, I just think I got unlucky with the one I personally got. Stay safe. Thank you for your help.
