That's a great idea CoolGTX, that's what I did as well a few days ago. Unfortunately it didn't help get any WU. But I'M READY!!!!!!

Moved first machine from  Version 1511 to Version 1909 yesterday ... all went well

Out of curiosity, how often do you update your rigs? 1511 was a VERY long time ago!

 
Dedicated Folding Rig & the oldest Ver of Win 10 Pro that I was running .. wanted to measure any difference as the other Rigs ran different Versions of 10

I was unaware. Been switching everything over to Linux in the house for what seams like yeeeeeeeeeears. But, probably only one.

WU shortage ... well I decided to make it an opportunity ...  to update my Rigs & do some Spring Cleaning
 
Working on my deferred updates on Windows 10
 
1) Backup of critical Files .. removable drive
 
2) Save Image of drive to external drive
 
Moved first machine from  Version 1511 to Version 1909 yesterday ... all went well
 
working on the Second machine updates today

Added a new video card, an RTX 2060, EVGA of course, to one system I have, an Alienware Aurora R8, for a pair of the same cards in that system.
Decided to put a new EVGA 850 Power Supply into that system as well.
 
Took the original OEM power supply from my Alienware above, which is also an 850 Watt, and added it to my Dell Inspiron 5676, which only had a 400 Watt, which
then allowed me to add a second GTX 1070 I had to it. 
 
I have more than enough memory, 32 GB in both systems, as well as each having a 500GB Samsung 970+ M.2 SSD.
 
Windows and drivers, are all up to date.
 
Cleaned up Windows of all its useless junk, especially those which eat up any CPU processing time, outside of the anti-virus software, which sadly, I need to
keep running.
 
As a side note, I remember there being talk of a way to have anti-virus software utilize the built in graphics processor of the CPU, but I haven't read anything
further about it, or if anyone even implemented it. It would be nice to do so, since those of us w/an external GPU, aren't even using the built-in one in the CPU. 
FaH doesn't utilize the built-in GPU w/its application, though w/BOINC, some applications for it, do.
 
I have a gutted system just collecting dust, so for something to do, I may get that one up to running order, though only keep off-line until I start getting some
serious work, maybe on the weekends perhaps.
 
It's all to keep me busy, since I can't go anywhere, outside of going to work and the supermarket.
 
Now to simply get the WU's to justify everything.

You can clean install win10 and use the win7 key to activate it.
win7 home will only get you win10 home and so on.
 
Install win10 and when it ask for a key just hit have no key.
When it is fully installed, activate it and add the key then. 

You need the Retail version of Windows 7 Ultimate don't you?
 
I've upgraded all of my Home versions of Windows 10 to the Pro version, using my Retail version of Windows 7 Ultimate CD, and for $50, upgraded to Windows 10 Pro for Workstations, in order to try it.

I do not know if the OEM ultimate version will work or not.
I used OEM win7 pro keys and was able to use them on win10 pro and validate, recently.
The OEM win7 home key worked on win10 home and validated.

One of the posts was held up by the forum filter but I have now resolved that.

The only drawback with OEM keys is they are tied to original hardware. They generally can't be transferred to new computers. Other than that they do usually grant the perpetual license.

To the Best of my knowledge & a little searching:
 
     1) OEM is technically only licensed to 1 system


     2) You "might be able to use OEM to upgrade to 10" --> it probably is a Violation of MS license agreement ---> Ask Microsoft
 
     3) Retail copy of Win 7 is Not an Issue .... use your Key
