Hey just looking for advice, I have a bad EVGA 1070 GTX SC. Really loved the card it still handles most games i play @1080 120hz no problem. I need a new card but I've sorta gotten out of the industry a bit, looking for advice as to what a solid upgrade from my card would be without breaking the bank. 2k is the most i think i can see myself needing for res, currently running 2 1080 monitors still. Not sure if 8gb is still needed for high end gaming these days or if the hardware can do more with less ram or what. But yeah ideally under like 300 if possible, and obviously EVGA cards.

tl;dr
Is it possible to get a solid upgrade from a 1070 gtx for under 300?

Comparable to 1070 for under $300.?
    Not in my opinion.
Closest might be a 2060 Super and your talking $450 when taxes shipping etc

    Isn't your 1070 still under warranty ?

Based on your budget, I'd wait for the next gen, especially if you're looking to game on 1440p (2K).

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

RTX 2060 would be a decent upgrade since you are running at 1080p. I would recommend the RTX 2060 Super if you make the move though.

For less than $300 --> EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti SC ULTRA GAMING, 06G-P4-1667-KR, 6GB GDDR6, Dual Fan, Metal Backplate
