Hello EVGA Community!

With the Coronavirus outbreak affecting so many people, I wanted to take a moment and thank the Folding @ Home team for helping to donate processing power to researchers who really need it during this time. The more computing power we have, the more we can help run simulations that benefit biologists and researcher help combat the virus. Because of our community, we are the #2 folding team in the world, helping researchers when the world needs it most. Over the past week, I have seen an ~40% increase in the amount of folding points from our team that is benefiting institutions across the globe. Keep up the good work everyone and let's continue being not just gamers, but enthusiasts who use their hardware for the greater good.

The help has been so overwhelming, it really put an unseen crush load on their nodes! I couldn't get my client to connect at all, despite weakening the Firewall rules.

It's really nice to see so many trying to help; hopefully the work unit situation will get fixed soon.

    Here's a summary of current Folding@Home situation :
    • We know about the work unit shortage
    • It's happening because of an approximately 20x increase in demand
    • We are working on it and hope to have a solution very soon.
    • Keep your machines running, they will eventually fold on their own.
    • Every time we double our server resources, the number of Donors trying to help goes up by a factor of 4, outstripping whatever we do.

Imagine what happens when they are able to catch up. The scientist's were able to find the DNA of the corona, in a very short time {I believe it was within a week} That allowed for some trial therapies to be tested quickly.

    Thanks for the info CoolGTX.
