Hello All.

Just switched over from MAC to PC and built my own rig.  I have a question about boot order.

I have two SSDs, internal.
1- Samsung 1TB
2- SanDisk - 500GB

I installed windows 10 on the Samsung and Linux on the 500GB.

I played around with linux but I run a lot of adobe software and unfortunately it is not linux friendly.  I set my boot order to boot from the SanDisk and Linux.  So I'd like to switch it back to the Samsung and boot from windows and just use the SanDisk as an additional drive.  However in my bios for boot order.... I can't seem to find the option to boot first from Windows...  Its just not listed.  What am I doing incorrectly?

Have you tried plugging the drive into a different sata port to see if it will show up then?

I would also suggest trying a different sata cable too if you continue to have problems with it not showing up.

I would try just plugging the windows drive in, leave the linux out, restart, see if it picks up the drive, then just plug the linux back in and do a 2nd reboot just to see if it detects both drives. I'm running the same bios and my options look about the same. Maybe check your advanced settings and see what drive is showing up after you boot with just the windows drive

If you boot into Linux are you able to see the Samsung Drive as being connected to the PC? That will tell you if this is a hardware issue or not. Assuming that the Samsung drive is visible when in Linux than I am betting that this has to do with UEFI boot settings. I am just not 100% sure off of the top of my head what it could be... I dont have access to my PC to be able to mess around with the settings for you.

Open the Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities and the Samsung 1TB with Windows 10 on it might be shown there where you can select it and it will be added to the list of Boot Options..Then set it as Boot Option #1.

Thanks everyone.

Bob16314- that was the trick.  Nailed it.  Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorties was at the bottom of my screen.  I didn't even see it.  Clicked it and the Windows option was there.  Booted up no problem.

Thanks a million.
