    It won't cap at 60 when set to 120.

    i just bout both the plug it wot let me chage it.  it cap at 60

    Yeah from what I understand most of the DVI-DP adapters don't support 120hz.  You need a special one, I dug this up but there may be cheaper ones:

    Sounds like HDMI won't support it either.  Might be time for a new monitor.

    that monitor definitely requires a DVI-D cable to enable 120 hz , but I'm not seeing any adapters that are rated to convert to 120 hz from displayport ports on your card to dvi-d to your monitor ....

    Yeah it looks like there's some used ones on Amazon warehouse I didn't see before for $55, that's a deal and definitely the way to go if your monitor is otherwise good.
