EVGA if you guys provide very good graphics cards you wouldn't really have to bee doing up so many RMA requests for people to get replacement products. I understand if you guys start sending brand new gpu's for every rma that goes through you wouldn't make profit or money and i totally agree but if you really want to make money so you don't lose customers or get bad names from people about your company who had bad experiences with graphics cards they received from a rma shipment replacement card, start making proper gpu units that doesn't die or give problems in a matter of a few months. Because i'm a guy who did up an RMA and yes i'm getting my replacement card and i'm hoping & expecting i don't get a repeat of the same problem like what i had with the first one with this replacement card and I hope it operates like it was a new one properly. It's not our fault when we use the graphics card the way it suppose to be used, lets say like default settings, and then it goes bad on us in a few months without over clocking it or pushing it over its limit, that's on y'all part because it indicates that y'all provided us with a gpu unit that was already faulty.

I am betting the percentage of card failures is not that high.  In forums you only see from people that have an issue, you don't see from the many more that are running just fine.  In my 10 + years of buying EVGA I have only had one card ever have an issue and they took care of it right away.

Understand what you saying just remember not every rma someone does up they come to this forum to speak about it eh. From my experience I've had a gtx 1060-6gb and it worked marvelously. I must say i have an rtx 2070 now and in just 10 months it's basically gone,I've heard bad reviews of life expectancy about rtx cards from evga cards if you check it up and i just got the taste of it.

No company that I know of sends out new cards in box as a RMA replacement only within a certain time frame. Some even don't do it with in the 30 days. And some company's only have 10 or 14 days New in box RMA replacements. And even a select few that don't send out new in box items at all for their RMAs.  This is my first time owning a EVGA product. I have to say from reading around reviews and what not. For the size of their company their RMA is pretty much top notch with all things considered.

How do you know it was defective?  It could have been a perfectly working card that someone used in the Step-Up program to get a better card.

Dude I understand that.  I asked the CSR and he couldn't tell me whether it's one of those cards or if it was a defective card that they rebuilt and tested.  If something happens, ASUS won't replace my board or anything else that may or may not get damaged.  I'm not insane, I can't be the only person to ever come here with one of these questions/issues.  Again, the box thing....it's not my precious.  I just made the mistake of sending it in and I just thought they'd be cool and send it back.

To answer your question about where the refurb card has been, even though I probably shouldn't, they cant tell you because the serial number on the refurb card is scrubbed from the system and a new serial number replaces it. All cards that come back are fully tested by them, check out some of there lab videos and see the equipment they have, and will carry the warranty that your previous card had to the new refurb card. I don't really see the problem. No, your not the only guy to ever ask about a box, or has sent one in on accident cause they didn't read the procedure, but it happens very infrequently and most don't care whether they lose them or not. Hope that info helps and good luck in your pursuits.

Not sure why this guy is so upset. You can get a box off Ebay if that is so important.

As for the card this is how pretty much ALL RMAs work. So you being upset about it literally serves no purpose. You have a working card that saved you hundred of dollars and the need of buying a new one.

If it is functionally the same as a new card then what is the problem? It had as much chance at failing as any other new item in your computer. Grow up.
