I have an EVGA Z390 FTW. I know it has the onboard Nu Audio stuff and I have installed the driver. But I also have Realtek drivers installed. So which is it? Does my board have Realtek onboard audio or EVGA onboard audio?

    DAC = Realtek

    Nu audio = yellow caps in audio section of the board to help clean up audio output.

    The Realtek Audio covers the audio outputs on the rear of the motherboard.  The EVGA portion covers the front panel output through your front panel connector.  I would not equate the NU Audio on the motherboard with the NU Audio Cards that we now sell.  However, you will notice increased quality and power through the front panel, compared to most onboard solutions.

    Ok, useless for my application. Looks like a proper DAC is the way to go.

    It's the way to go I feel if you want the best audio quality. I personally got the NU Audio since I didn't need the 7.1 sound of the pro and admit it's the best sound I have had in years way better then any  on board options.

    The headset I'm is USB so NU Audios capabilities won't work with it.
